Sermorelin is a human growth hormone-releasing (GHRH) analogue, and also one of the shortest synthetic peptides with full GHRH biological activity. It was initially developed to test the secretion of growth hormone, but was later discovered it acts directly on the pituitary gland to stimulate the production of GH.   Ipamorelin is also a short synthetic peptide (it’s a pentapeptide, meaning it consists of only 5 amino acids), which acts as a ghrelin mimetic and a potent growth hormone releasing agent.   Since ghrelin is a hormone which controls appetite and regulates food intake, ipamorelin is thought to have a weight regulatory property to it. CJC-1295 is a synthetic growth hormone-releasing analog, and it also acts as growth hormone secretagogue. Besides stimulating the production and growth hormone secretion, CJC-1295 also stimulates the production of insulin-like growth factor 1.   CJC-1295 was developed in such a way to increase its half-life, the duration of action but also to stimulate growth hormone without affecting its pulsatility.   GHRP-2 is also a growth hormone secretagogue, but one that specifically targets ghrelin (which is a growth hormone receptor). CJC-1295 with DAC is a synthetic peptide, analog of the growth hormone-releasing hormone. Though CJC-1295 without DAC has the same effect and stimulates the production and secretion of growth hormone, the addition of Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) is what increases its half-life allowing it to act longer and more potently.
